Giverny

JB pays tribute to the great artist Monet by spending years painting one of his greatest legacies, the incredible gardens that he designed at Giverny. Though nothing like Monet’s approach to painting, which was loose and impressionistic, Ms. Berkow zeros in on the delicious detail of the gardens, and yet, like Monet, she has been able to create lush and luminous canvases in her own style. Her large 4×10 foot “Weeping Willow Serenade” is the culmination of this series, which took 6 months to complete. The entire collection is in her book, “Painted Poetry.”
